Connect to Work

Connect to Work brings together health services and employment support, helping people who are currently out of the workforce, particularly those facing significant barriers, to stay in work or return to work.

Participation is completely voluntary, and support is personalised to each resident’s circumstances and delivered through a place, train, and maintain work-based approach. This includes two specialist interventions:

  • Individual Placement and Support (IPS): Employment support delivered alongside primary and secondary healthcare and other key services. IPS is designed for people with health conditions, disabilities, and individuals from specified disadvantaged groups.
  • Local Supported Employment (LSE): A more intensive intervention, offering deeper, more frequent support from an Employment Specialist. LSE is designed for people with autism, learning disabilities, or individuals from specified disadvantaged groups who may benefit from enhanced, tailored support.

WorkWell

Good health and good work go hand-in-hand. When we feel well, we’re more able to stay in work, enjoy what we do, and support ourselves and our families. But when health problems – like stress, back pain, or long-term conditions – get in the way, it can be hard to stay in or return to work, even if we want to.

WorkWell is an in-work support programme designed to help people to stay well and stay working. Health and employment specialists will help you get the support you need to address your condition and stay in work.
